Chalk Stenciled Christmas Lights

If you live in a colder climate like I do then it’s probably been a few months since you grabbed your sidewalk chalk. But this week we’re taking a break from the usual paint and glue crafts for these fun Chalk Stenciled Christmas Lights!

This craft only requires a few supplies, is very easy to make, and once finished makes a cute Christmas decoration for your home.

Supplies:

Steps:

  • To start, print off my FREE Christmas Lights Cut-Out PDF and cut out a handful of Christmas lights shapes.
  • Next, use a white crayon to draw a wavy line across your black construction paper (longwise) This will be your “string” for your Christmas lights.

  • Place your cutout Christmas lights along the drawn line. Feel free to lightly secure it with tape if you’d like.

  • Once your lights are spaced out the way you like them, use different colored sidewalk chalk and color around each light shape.
  • Next, use your fingers or a tissue to smear the chalk around each light till it looks nice and blended.

  • Lastly, carefully remove the light cutout pieces to reveal your stenciled Christmas light art. If you’d like, use your white crayon to write a sweet holiday message or leave it as is.
