These Dot Art Cross Pictures are easy enough that my 18-month-old could do them, so fun and super cute! They require very little prep time and allow each child, no matter their age, to use their own creativity and color preferences to create beautiful reminders of God’s love for us! Every time they look at their dot art they can be reminded of the Love “S’more” Like Jesus lesson.

Supplies:

Steps:

Cut out a cross-shaped stencil using some construction paper or space cardboard you have in the house.

Lightly tape the stencil to the center of a piece of white printer paper. Tip: I like to stick my piece of scotch tape onto my clothes or my arm first to remove some of the stickiness, so it won’t tear the paper when the stencil is removed.

Once your cross stencil is secured allow your kids to use the dot markers to decorate their paper. Encourage them to put A LOT of dots on their paper. The more dots on the paper the easier it will be to see the cross once the stencil is removed.

NOTE: You could also substitute dot markers for fingerprints with paint.

Once your child is finished decorating their picture, carefully peel off the cross stencil to reveal the cross image.

Set your picture aside to dry & enjoy it just like that, or take it one step further and write a message about Jesus’s love or maybe even this week’s memory verse in the blank space.
