If you’re looking for a simple and festive craft to do with your kids this Fall season, you’ll love this Lego Corn Art craft.

This craft only requires a few supplies and your kids will love this new way of painting. Legos are great for building and playing with but have you ever painted with one? For this art project, we will be using your legos as a stamp to get the perfect textured pattern for our corn cobs. And if that isn’t enough cuteness for you, we’re also going to use your child’s handprints for the husks. How adorable is that!

Once finished these also make the perfect Thanksgiving decorations for your home.

If you’re looking for more “harvest” themed crafts, snacks, activities, and a corresponding simple Bible lesson to do with your kids, be sure to check out this week’s Weekly Fun Plan: Lord of the Harvest.

Steps:

  • Pour some red, orange, and/or brown paint onto a flat surface (paint pallet or paper plate), and have your child dip the pegged end of their Lego into the paint and stamp it all over a piece of yellow construction paper. Then set aside to dry.
  • Next, trace your child’s handprint onto a piece of green or brown construction paper. Trace it 2-3 different times. Then cut the handprints out.

  • Once your Lego painting is dry cut out 2-3 long oval shapes from the painted paper. These are your corn cobs.

  • Glue your handprints to the end of your corn cobs to create your husks and you’re done! You now have the perfect Thanksgiving or Harvest party decorations.
