Supplies:

Steps:

  • To start, select a color of construction paper you would like to use for your handprint and trace your child’s hand. Once traced, cut out the handprint.
  • Next, on either a piece of black or white paper glue down your handprint leaving just enough space to write a big “2” to the left of the handprint.
  • Take some crayons and decorate your background paper all over. (Examples: fireworks, stars, confetti, etc.)
  • Once you’ve finished decorating with crayons, take your liquid glue and write a “2” to the left of your handprint, and a “24” to the right of it. (Or whatever year it may be changing to when you make this craft)
  • While the glue is still wet, sprinkle with glitter completely covering the glue numbers. Shake off the excess glitter and set aside to dry.
  • Once dry, you’re done and can hang up your artwork to celebrate the new year!
