If you’re looking for a simple and sweet craft to do with your kids this winter, you’ll want to try making this Watercolor Snowflake Art!

This craft is easy to do, only requires 3 things to make, and is a great way to keep your kids busy during these cold winter days when you’re stuck inside.

If you’re looking for more snowflake-themed crafts, snacks, activities, and a corresponding simple Bible lesson to do with your kids, check out this week’s Weekly Fun Plan: One of a Kind!

Steps:

  • To start, take a piece of white paper and use a white crayon to draw some snowflake shapes all over your paper. (Plain white printer paper will work too but may wave up with the moisture. If you have access to watercolor-specific paper that would work best.)
  • Next, using various watercolor paints cover the entire piece of paper, blending the colors with water. Once covered the paint should reveal your snowflakes.
  • Let your picture dry fully. If the paper has curled at all with the moisture, place it under a stack of books or something flat and heavy to straighten it out.
