Bible Study Tools

Here is a short list of the Bible study tools that I will be referring to the most during my Weekly Fun Plans. If you want to integrate some Biblical teachings into your children’s lives from a young age these are some great resources to have on hand.

You don’t have to spend lots of money to teach your child about the Bible at home. If you don’t own a children’s Bible there are many free Bible apps for both adults & kids that you can download today. I have listed links below for both Bibles you can purchase and other free options.

  • Bible
    • This is the link for the Bible I use. I LOVE this Bible! It is aesthetically beautiful, an easy-to-understand translation, and has lots of room to write in the margins with thicker nonbleed pages. I highly recommend it!)
  • Bible App for Kids
    • This is a FREE Bible App for children by LifeChurch. It has all the major Bible stories included and allows your children to either read or follow along with their audio and cute animations. This is the app that also pairs well with the Bible Adventure children’s video episodes I reference often.
  • YouVersion Bible App
    • This is the FREE Bible App for adults that I have on my devices. It is very easy to navigate and gives you access to many many versions of the Bible. I like it because it gives me the ability to toggle between multiple versions of the same verse to compare quickly and easily.
  • The Jesus Story Book Bible (Book)
  • The Big God Story (Book)
    • My children were gifted this book from our church and it is the best, short story summary of the entire Bible that I’ve ever read. This book allows you to explain to your children how the books and stories of the Bible are all connected in one Big God Story and I highly recommend this book!
  • LifeKids Bible Adventure Series (YouTube Playlist)
  • Spotify Playlists (Christian Music for Kids & Parents)
  • Christian Affirmations Poster (Free Downloadable PDF)
    • If you’re looking for a fun free printable poster to hang in your room or your child’s I’ve created this PDF. Read through one, a few, or all the affirmations each day to remind your family your identity is rooted in Christ.

Craft/Activity Supplies

These are the craft supplies that I always keep stocked up in my personal craft closet/junk drawers around the house. If you keep these items on hand you will be able to make about 90% of the crafts I post in my Weekly Fun Plans. This will prevent you from needing to run to the store or put in an order anytime you want to try any of the crafts & activities I suggest in my plans.

Bonus Big Item: I use this Sensory Picnic Table with my kids almost every day in the warmer months! If you don’t have some sort of table with sensory bins I highly recommend this one! It is sturdy, works as a picnic table when the table leaf in place, and comes with an umbrella for shade and two buckets for sensory play. Some of the favorite sensory activities we like to use ours for are:

  • Water play
  • Kinetic Sand
  • Oobleck Slime/Regular Slime
  • Playdough
  • Yard nature play (rocks, flowers, etc.)

Pantry Items

These are the grocery-type items that I use most often with non-craft activities such as sensory tables, slime, playdough, etc.

  • Corn Starch
    • Corn starch is great for baking in some of my recipes, used to make certain slimes, as well as in sidewalk chalk paint.
  • Food Coloring
  • Ziplock Bags
  • Paper Plates
    • I use paper plates A LOT in my crafts so these are great to have on hand. Here is a link to all my Paper Plate Craft ideas to give you examples.
  • Paper Towel
    • Not only is a paper towel great to have on hand to clean up messes, but as you go through your paper towels I highly recommend keeping the cardboard tubes. I use cardboard tubes in various crafts and never want someone to have to buy craft tubes when you could have them on hand already.
