Supplies:
Steps:
- To start, fold your white piece of paper in half. Pick 3 or 4 colors of paint to put into your paint splat background. Using a good amount of paint carefully pour or glob some paint onto one half of your white paper.
- Once you have the paint placed where you’d like, carefully fold your paper in half to smooth and smear the paint. Carefully pull your paper apart to reveal your paint splat then let it fully dry.
- While your paint is drying, cut out a city skyline with black construction paper. See the image below for reference.
- Once you have your skyline, paint or draw on windows to your skyscraper buildings.
- After everything is dry, glue your skyline along the bottom of your paint splat paper. You can stop the craft right here or personalize it with a few extra steps.
- Glue on a photo of your child in their best hero pose.
- Glue on a photo of your favorite superhero.
- Cut out a large spotlight shape with yellow construction paper and glue it on. Then write/draw in the spotlight:
- Your child’s name/initial
- An image like the “bat signal”.
- Or if you’re following this week’s Bible lesson the word “Jesus”, a cross, or a “J” for Jesus.
