If you’re looking for a simple and adorable prayer-themed activity to do with your kids this Fall, you’ll love this Prayer Acorn Handprint craft.
This craft only requires a few supplies, is mess-free, and is a great craft to do with a Bible lesson on the topic of prayer. Use it for Sunday School, VBS, or a homeschool supplement. It’s the perfect combination of cute, easy, and faith-based.
And if you’re looking for more prayer/acorn-themed crafts, snacks, activities, and a corresponding simple Bible lesson to do with your kids, be sure to check out this week’s Weekly Fun Plan: Gather in Prayer.

Supplies:
Steps:
- Start by taking a light tan-colored piece of construction paper and folding it in half.
- Trace your hand onto the paper. Be sure to line up one side of your hand with the folded crease.
- Cut out your handprint. You should now have 2 connected handprints that fold together.
- Next, line up the palm side of the handprint over some dark brown paper and draw an “acorn top” shape. See the image below for reference.
- Cut out your acorn top and glue it to the top of your handprint cutout.
- Next, glue or stick two googly eyes to the front of the acorn, draw on a face, and some texture to the top.
- Once the face & details are done on your acorn, you can open up your handprint like a book and write a prayer request or Bible verse on the inside. After that, you’re done!
