Steps:

  • Prep your craft by cutting out lots of little squares of both yellow and green tissue paper. Cut into approximately 1” squares OR purchase some of these precut tissue paper squares.

  • Print off my free Sunflower Template (PDF) onto plain white printer paper.
  • Color in the center circle of the flower with either brown or black marker. You can completely color it in or do a checkered-type pattern like I did.
  • Take some liquid glue and one section at a time cover each flower petal and each leaf with glue.
  • Scrunch up each tissue paper piece and press them into the glue-covered areas until each space is filled. Use yellow for the petals and green for the leaves. (If you have some extra sunflower seeds lying around the house you could also take it one step further and glue some seeds onto the center of the flower.)
  • Let your picture dry and you’re done!
