This super cute Bottle Print Flower Art requires very few supplies or steps and creates a fun little springtime picture for you to hang up and enjoy.

Do this craft with your kids for fun or a spring-themed party.

If you work in Kids Ministry this would be a great craft for any event or Sunday school lesson on God’s creation, Matthew 6:28 (the flowers of the field being clothed), or the Parable of the Sower.

I did the craft this week to go with my Bible lesson on faith, where we talked about how to grow our faith like a flower.

If you’re looking for more flower-themed crafts, snacks, activities, or the full Bible lesson I mentioned, check out this week’s Weekly Fun Plan: Grow in Faith.

Steps:

  • To start, select 2 colors of paint you would like to be the colors of our flower’s petals. Pour a small amount of each color onto a flat surface like a paper plate or paint palette. Make sure the two piles of paint are right next to each other so that they can slightly mix when we dip our bottle into them.
  • Next, take an empty pop bottle or water bottle (the 20 fl oz kind) and dip the bottom end into the paint. Swirl it around a little making sure to fully coat the bottom of the bottle in paint. (Note: Make sure its the type of bottle that has a 5-point bottom. See the image below for reference.)
  • Now, use the bottle as your stamp. Press paint flowers onto various areas of your white paper. It should look like a flower’s petals. Once you’ve stamped as many flowers as you’d like, set it aside to dry.
  • Count how many flowers you’ve stamped and select the same number of small craft supplies to be the centers of your flowers. You could use pompoms, stickers, confetti, small foam shapes, buttons, or whatever you may have on hand. This is where you can get creative and use what you have at home. Once your paint is dry glue one item to the center of each flower stamp.
  • Lastly, using a green marker draw stems and leaves connecting to each of your stamped flowers. That’s it, you’re artwork is complete.
