If there’s anything I’ve learned raising 2 toddlers, it’s that kids love sweets and love any chance to dig in the dirt. So a snack recipe that checks both those boxes is definitely a win in their minds! These Dirt Cups are an easy-to-assemble snack, have only 3 ingredients, are something your kids can easily help make, and are guaranteed to be a hit when you’re looking for a sweet treat.
Make them for a special occasion like a birthday, or a special reward during the week. They not only make a great snack but they also give you a great opportunity to talk with your kids about how just like a spoon or a shovel can be a tool, the Bible is our Ultimate Tool. Read my full blog post for more info on how to talk to your kids about using the Bible as a tool in their lives.
Ingredients:
Steps:
- Open up 1 pudding cup for each child you are going to serve.
- Grab 1-2 Oreos per child and put them into a ziplock bag sealing it nice and tight!
- Have your child use their hands, feet, a rolling pin, or whatever you want to crunch up the Oreos in the ziplock bag. This will be the topsoil for our dirt cups.
- Pour or scoop the Oreo crumbles from the bags and top the pudding cups with the crumble.
- Place 1 or 2 gummy worms on top of the Oreo crumbles, pressing some slightly into the pudding to make it look like they are crawling out of the dirt.
- Grab a spoon and enjoy. It’s as easy as that!
