This super-easy Bottle Cap Painted Grapes craft requires very few supplies or steps and creates a fun, colorful piece of art to help you remember the fruit of the Spirit. Perfect for summer!

Do this craft with your kids at home, for a kids’ ministry event, VBS, or Sunday school lesson on the fruit of the Spirit.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The law is not against such things.” – Galatians 5:22-23

Supplies:

Steps:

  • To start, put some purple paint onto a plate or tray for dipping. (I mixed a little bit of white into my purple to lighten it up, but you can always skip this step)
  • Once you have some purple paint ready to dip, take a clean plastic bottle with the cap still on and dip the cap into the paint. Use the bottle cap as your paintbrush to create a cluster of purple grapes in the center of your paper.
  • If you’d like to add the fruit of the Spirit right onto the grapes later, make sure you create at least 9 grapes.
  • Next, taking some green paint and a small paintbrush, paint some simple leaves and/or vines onto the top of your grape cluster. Then set your painting aside to fully dry.
  • After everything is dry, take a black marker to write the different fruits of the Spirit onto your grapes. They are:
    • Love
    • Joy
    • Peace
    • Patience
    • Kindness
    • Goodness
    • Faithfulness
    • Gentleness
    • Self-control
  • Additionally, you could write “Fruits of the Spirit” or “Galatians 5:22-23” onto your paper as well. After that, your Bottle Cap Painted Grapes craft is complete!
