Looking for an easy-to-assemble, healthy snack with only 3 ingredients that your kids will love? Look no further than these Build-a-Bonfire snacks! I know for my kids (and most toddlers) taking the extra few minutes to assemble healthier snack choices into fun shapes and formations gets them to eat a lot more than just handing them a pile of grapes, pretzels, and cheese on a plate! Check out the full blog post: Weekly Fun Plan: Building Your Life On Jesus! for more activities and crafts around the theme of “Building”.
Ingredients:
- Pretzel Sticks
- Cheddar Cheese Slices or Shredded Cheese
- Grapes (whichever kind you like)
- Mini Marshmallows (optional)
Steps:
- Wash a handful of grapes (whichever kind you like) and cut them into halves. Assemble the halved grapes into a small circle on a plate.
- Stack a handful of pretzel sticks into a little tepee formation inside of the grape circle.
- Rip up a slice of mild cheddar cheese and place the pieces sporadically throughout the pretzel sticks OR sprinkle some shredded cheddar cheese onto the pretzel sticks.
- For an extra special sweet treat add a few mini marshmallows to the ends of some extra pretzel sticks and let your kids pretend to roast some marshmallows over their bonfires.
