Supplies:

Steps:

  • To start, gather 1 piece of white paper, 1 piece of red construction paper, and 1 piece of a different color construction paper to use for your background.
  • Cut your red piece of paper into a large bucket shape and cut the white paper into various strips.
  • Glue the red bucket shape to the bottom portion of your background paper. Next, glue the white stripes on top of the red to create the stripes of your popcorn bucket.
  • Continue by gluing a bunch of cotton balls to the top of your bucket to look like popcorn. Add as many or as few as you’d like. You could also glue a few on the bottom to look like they fell out of the bucket.
  • Once the glue is dry, take a paintbrush and some yellow paint to carefully paint the tops of your cotton balls. This will make your “popcorn look nice and buttery.
  • When the paint is dry, leave your picture as is, or write a message on the top of your artwork. For some ideas of what to write, see the list in the craft description above.
