Supplies:
- Scissors
- Construction Paper (various colors)
- Crayons/Colored Pencils/Markers
- Fruit of the Spirit Coloring Sheet PDF
- Stapler

Steps:
- Start by printing off my free Fruit of the Spirit Coloring Sheet. One for each child.
- Next, use any available coloring utensils to color in the fruits of the Spirit.

- Take a piece of brown construction paper and fold it in half, short end to short end.
- Now, make multiple horizontal cuts starting at the fold about 1 inch apart, leaving the top inch uncut. When you unfold the paper you should now have multiple horizontal slits to weave your paper basket.

- Using various other colors of construction paper, cut some 1-inch strips of paper.

- Now, using the simple over and under pattern, weave your colorful strips of paper through your brown paper slits stapling the ends to secure them in place. Repeat this process until the entire cut area is filled.

- Fold your woven piece of paper back in half and staple both sides to create a pocket.
- Next, cut one more long strip of brown construction paper and staple both ends to the two sides of your open pocket to create a handle for your “basket”.

- Lastly, cut out your colored fruit from the coloring sheet and deposit them into your new woven paper fruit basket.
