Looking for a fun, seasonal craft that kids will be excited to make? This Paper Plate Fall Truck Craft is just the thing!
With a painted paper plate, a little construction paper, and some imagination, kids can create their own pick-up truck carrying a load of bright orange pumpkins. You can also skip the pumpkins and have your truck carry anything you like — logs, animals, or even a Christmas tree — making this craft a fun activity you can enjoy year-round.
It’s a simple, hands-on project that works great at home with your family, in a Sunday School class, or even as a playful activity during a playdate. Not only does it celebrate creativity, but it also ties perfectly into our Pick up Your Bible theme — reminding kids that just like a truck carries its load, we can carry God’s Word with us wherever we go.
And if you’re looking for more truck-themed crafts, snacks, and our corresponding Bible lesson, be sure to check out this week’s Weekly Fun Plan: “Pick up” Your Bible.

Supplies:

Steps:
- Start by taking your paper plate and cutting a ¼ pie piece out of it. Then, a long straight cut along the bottom to create the shape of your truck. See the image below for reference.

- After picking out the color you would like your truck to be, paint the entire paper plate piece and set it aside to completely dry.

- Next, using black construction paper, cut out a window shape and 2 circles for wheels. See the image below for reference.

- Then, using orange and green construction paper, cut out a few pumpkins and small leaf shapes. Use your glue to stick the leaves to the tops of your pumpkins.

- Once your painted truck is dry, using a glue stick, attach your pumpkins to the back of your paper plate truck bed in a little stack.

- Lastly, flip over your plate and glue your wheels & window to the front of your truck. And that’s it, you’re done!
