This super cute Paper Plate Trophy requires very few supplies or steps and creates a fun piece of art you can use as a greeting card, door/locker name sign, or party decoration.

This trophy craft is perfect for Father’s Day (like our family used it for), a sports-themed party, or a name sign decoration for the athlete in your family. Simply replace the writing on the trophy to read whatever or whoever you are celebrating.

This craft would also be great for any kids’ ministry event or Sunday school lesson on “God being #1” or the following Bible Verses about “running the race” of Christianity linked below:

Supplies:

Steps:

  • To start, using yellow or gold colored paint, paint a paper plate. Be sure to cover the entire plate then set it aside to dry.
  • Using another colored piece of construction paper draw a star shape.
  • Cut out your star and set it aside for later.
  • Once the paint on your plate is dry, cut the plate in half.
  • Take one of the plate halves and cut out a rectangular base, two C-shaped handles, and a small square shape. See the image below for reference.
  • Glue the pieces of your trophy together as seen in the image below to construct your trophy shape.
  • Lastly, glue your star cutout to the center of your trophy then using a marker write your message or name at the bottom of your trophy to customize it. After that, you’re done!
