If you’re looking for a simple and adorable Moses-themed activity. Try this fun 3D Parting the Red Sea Moses Craft with your kids.
This craft only requires a few supplies and can be completed relatively quickly. It’s an easy mess-free activity that will get your kids thinking about the story of Moses and the parting of the Red Sea. Plus the 3D effect of the rolled paper makes this craft fun and perfect for busy little hands.
If you work in the church, this craft can easily be prepared for a large group and would pair perfectly with a Bible lesson on Moses. My free “Moses and the Red Sea Coloring Sheet” included with this craft also has Exodus 14:14 printed on it and could be the perfect memory verse to go along with your lesson.
“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14 NIV

Supplies:

Steps:
- Start by printing off my free Moses and the Red Sea Coloring Sheet. One for each child.
- Next, use any available coloring utensils to color in the Moses character.

- Take a piece of blue construction paper and hold it landscape. Make one vertical cut right down the middle of the paper cutting it in half.
- Now, make multiple horizontal cuts down each piece of blue construction paper. Be sure not to cut all the way across but leave about 2” of space uncut with each new cut. You should now have a bunch of fringe.

- Using glue, secure both blue fringe pieces to the left and right furthest points of your Moses and the Red Sea Coloring Sheet. The fringe pieces should be facing toward the center of the paper and only the uncut edges should be glued down.

- Now, using a pencil or your finger carefully roll each strip up and away from the center of your picture. This should create the illusion of parting waves of the Red Sea and expose the colored Moses portion and Bible verse of your coloring sheet.

- Let the glue finish drying and your craft is complete!
