If you’re looking for a simple, hands-on Thanksgiving activity to do with your kids this week, you’ll love this Serving Others Pumpkin Pie Slice Craft!
It only takes a few basic supplies and comes together quickly—perfect for home, Sunday School, or your kids’ ministry classroom. Kids can choose to use the free printable memory verse sheet as a simple coloring activity, or get a little more creative by using tissue paper and glue to make their own pumpkin pie slice masterpiece.
This fun fall craft not only fits perfectly with the Thanksgiving season but also ties into my Bible lesson on serving others. Want to use this activity sheet another time of the year? Consider having your kids use craft supplies to decorate the slice as a slice of pizza, rather than a pie. The printable even includes this week’s memory verse:
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Matthew 20:28

Supplies:
- Serving Others Pumpkin Pie Slice (Printable PDF)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Tissue Paper (orange)
- Construction Paper (brown)
- Cotton Balls

Steps:
- Start by printing off my free Serving Others Pumpkin Pie Slice PDF. One for each child.
- Rip or cut some orange tissue paper into small 1” squares or pieces.
- Cut some brown construction paper into small 1” squares as well.

- Spread glue all over the designated triangle on the activity sheet.
- Then, start sticking pieces of orange tissue paper onto the glue until the entire “slice of pie” is filled in.
- Next, using your brown pieces of construction paper, glue them in a line along the curved edge of the triangle. This will become the “crust” of your pie. See the image below for reference.

- Lastly, place a few dots of glue in the center of your pie piece. Then carefully stick on a few cotton balls to be your “whipped cream”.

- Once your activity sheet is completely dry, you’re done!
