If you’re looking for a simple and sweet craft to do with your kids this Winter season, you’ll love this Watercolor Winter Hat craft.
This craft only requires a few supplies and the technique of watercolor painting over crayon is always a fun one for kids.
Whether you choose to do the watercolor and cotton ball parts or use it just as a coloring sheet, this is the perfect easy craft to do with a Bible lesson on Psalm 139. Use it in a Sunday School classroom, VBS, Kids Ministry event, or for a homeschool lesson.
And if you’re looking for more winter accessory-themed crafts, snacks, activities, and a corresponding simple Bible lesson to do with your kids, be sure to check out this week’s Weekly Fun Plan: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.

Supplies:
- Winter Hat Psalm 139 Coloring Sheet PDF
- Watercolor Paints
- Cotton Balls
- Glue
- Markers/Crayons/Colored Pencils

Steps:
- Print off my free Winter Hat Psalm 139 Coloring Sheet (PDF) onto plain white paper. (Standard printer paper works fine, but thicker cardstock works even better with the wetness of watercolor paints.)
- Using a white or light-colored crayon draw some patterns you’d like the watercolor to reveal on your hat.

- Gently paint your choice of watercolor paints over the top of the crayon markings. Then set aside to dry.

- Once your paper is dry, glue a few craft pompoms or cotton balls to the top “poof” of your hat.
- Carefully set your picture aside to let the glue dry and you’re done!
