Steps:

  • To start, take a photo of your child holding one arm out or up in the air as if they are holding a balloon.
  • Next do one of the two following options:
    • First option: If you have an iPhone hold down on the photo of your child for a few seconds with your finger. You should see the subject highlighted and options pop up. In the options, save the new cutout image of your child to your phone’s photo album. Print the cutout directly onto a piece of white paper. Leave some free space on the top half of the page then print it off.
    • Second option: print off the photo you took of your child. Once printed using scissors cut out the image and glue it to the bottom half of a piece of white paper.
  • Once you have an image of your child on white paper, take a cardboard tube and bend it into a heart shape.
  • Dip the end of your heart-shaped tube into some red paint and stamp a handful of hearts on the top half of your paper.
  • Set your painting aside to dry.
  • Lastly, once your paint is dry, use a marker to draw some balloon strings from each heart to your child’s hand and you’re done!
